Garry started today at Green Hill Broch, Mid Clyth, and straightaway headed northwards along the A99, passing a war memorial and a well wrapped up horse and an opportunity to trek with alpacas (not this time!)
Garry needed to continually cross the A99 to find the best side for safe passage from traffic, depending on the state of the grass verge and bends in the road.
About an hour after setting off, we all met at Whailgoe and spent some time looking at the views and walking down (and back up) all 365 Whaligoe Steps to find an old natural harbour surrounded by three sides of 250 feet cliffs.
Garry got back onto A99 and walked briskly to Thrumster, where we met again and drove to Puldagon Farm Shop for a welcome coffee.
Once back in Wick, we took Alfie for a walk along the River Wick. He enjoyed having a run around in the long grass and shallow waters. On our way back, a herring gull began swooping and diving towards us. We think that maybe Storm Floris has damaged some nests or chicks. My coat and hood went promptly back on and we rushed back to the main park. A scary experience!
A shorter planned walk today of just over 7 miles, again road walking.
We're almost there now, another 3 days of walking to go!

Fantastic effort...you both should be so proud....plus over £4k raised for your charity...well done to you both
