Storm Floris was quite wild last night and there were a number of tree branches on roads this morning. The Scottish Highways Authority seem to be very quick to clear them away.
I dropped Garry at Dunbeath Harbour whilst me and Alfie visited the beach again. It felt windier than yesterday, but there were less white horses to be seen. Alfie wasn't too keen so we headed onto our next stop along the A9 to meet Garry, followed by a visit Latheronwheel harbour.
We met briefly at Latheronwheel where Garry regaled his story of the long awaited cake and he headed on towards Lybster. In Latheron, the A9 branched off, so Garry continued on the slightly quieter A99.
Just north of Latheron, I stopped for a visit to the Latheron Commonwealth graves and saw Garry walking passed on the A99. Not knowing I was there, he also took a photo of the graves (and our car!)

I met Garry at Lybster, where, after a sandwich he decided to walk on a few more miles, passing through Occumster. On this next section he saw some Highland cows and the closest view off the Offshore wind farm that we have seen so far.
Just over 11 miles walked for Garry today and only 4 more days walking until John o'Groats!
Tomorrow's plan is to walk from Greenhill Broch towards Wick, again along the A99.
