The day started dry as we all walked out of Peebles through the town. We joined the Cross Borders Drove Road after a mile which skirted around Hamilton Hill. Looking back we could see Peebles.
Garry walked around the hills and went through a small wood, through Stewarton. There was an uphill journey through Harehope Forest.Once he came out the other side side of the forest Garry continued to follow the Drove Road, skirting the hillock, Drum Maw.
He passed a series of small farms close to the A701. Garry then crossed the A701 and walked up Station road, a B road, all the way into West Linton, where Marie and Alfie were waiting.
Garry's waterproof was on and off a number of times as the weather fluctuated between very rainy and warm.
We had a very delayed check in to our next Airbnb as it wasn't ready for us whilst waiting in the rain. I have a feeling the quality of them is going to change.
