We drove to Bewdley (Worcestershire) to start the day's walk. Once there, we met Lorraine, Paul and Millie plus Nicky, Jon and Myah.
We walked along the Severn Way, passed Trimpley reservoir and into Arley (Staffordshire). The path was good with a view of the River Severn most of the way.
A strange sight of a group of horses crossing a pedestrian bridge into Arley.
As we got closer to Arley, Myah got spooked by some clay pigeon shooting and needed to be a carried for a while.
After 4.5 miles walking, we reached Arley and the men carried on walking. The women sensibly found a pub for a drink and for Myah to hide from the nasty shots. We then headed up the hill towards Arley train station, another stop along the Severn valley railway.
Me, Nicky, Lorraine and the three dogs caught the train back to Bewdley, with some lovely views from the windows.
Some interested sheep and geese as the men walked through Romsley.
When we reached Bewdley, Garry, Paul and Jon had found themselves at The Six Ashes pub so we drove over to join them. Whilst there, we quadrupled the number of customers and stayed dry during a rain shower!
A welcome cuppa was waiting for them!
Garry and Jon walked 17 miles today. Another 15 miles planned towards Penkridge tomorrow.
