A day of different parts for me and Garry.
Today's planned route......
.....and the actual walk. Garry managed to find some footpaths that took a more direct route. The OS mapping app is really useful.
This morning, I said goodbye to Garry as I dropped him back in Porthleven and headed up to Coverack Bridges to meet him later. A quick return drive back into Porthleven to drop off Garry's walking poles then I found a lovely coffee wholesaler 'Origin coffee' so I bought a take away coffee and almond croissant from 'The Roastery cafe' and found a scenic spot to drink.
I walked to meet Garry and then we walked together for a while down some quiet tracks.
Garry came across a scenic stream and met some friendly ponies along the way.
Then I went back to the car to drive on to meet Garry later on. Once I'd driven for a little while, the low tyre pressure light came on and soon after I realised I had a flat tyre. Finding a quiet road to pull into, I began unloading the fully packed car (changeover day) and started undoing the wheel nuts. A kind man helped me crank up the car and change the wheel. Luckily, there was a Kwik Fit close by, and Kieran arranged a new wheel for me whilst I waited.
Onwards to Stithians, where Garry had just finished the walk for the day and a short drive to Truro, where we are staying for the next few days.
Nearly 12 miles for Garry and just a couple for me and Alfie today.
Rest day tomorrow.
